Proposal : Growing Together Sustainably: A Zero-Poverty Post-2015 Development Framework

Summary :  This submission seeks to address gaps left in the UN High Level Panel's understanding of the drivers of poverty and environmental degradation, noting:, saying:

The Panel wishes to build up a poverty-free world with strong commitment to sustainability. But the downside of the Panel’s approach has been that its recommendations do not address the cardinal reasons why the MDGs have not succeeded to deliver a better result: widespread violation of rights at local and international level, unequal treatment of people and countries, lack of justice in the face exploitation and discrimination, low level of priority attached to sustainability, and lack of effective global cooperation, especially which is built on historic responsibility. The zero-poverty framework has to be established on new principles and indicators that can safeguard against such limitations.
This submission provides a set of indicators based on new fundamental principles. It discusses how the new principles of rights, equality, justice, sustainability and partnership for development through historic responsibility could be utilized to strengthen the measurement and implementation of the zero-poverty framework
